Easier way to upgrade firmware
Just saw this one over at the A320 freeforums: http://a320.freeforums.org/easy-way-to-install-fireware-t296.html
You just copy the firmware file (called a320.hxf) to the root of the internal memory, unplug the USB cable, turn off the device, hold "down" on the D-pad and power it up again. The Dingoo will then automatically update the firmware.
As an added bonus your internal memory is not wiped out as with the procedure described on this site. So all your files and even your custom themes will work as soon as the update is done.
Much easier than the method described on this site, and no need to install drivers or using flashing programs. I even think it will make bricking your Dingoo harder. I tried it with a one of my own custom firmwares (which I apparently f*cked up) and it said the firmware was broken. All other firmwares I have tried work like a charm with this method, including the Team Dingoo ones.
Is it even worth upgrading Dingoo? I dont even bother to do so unless it's really REALLY worth it. I've heard numerous horror stories of people bricking their Dingoos.
I've upgraded my Dingoo so many times that I've lost count. Don't worry, you'll be fine.
I still haven't managed to brick mine. And anyway you can always unbrick it.
The reason I have upgraded the firmware is to get custom themes and convert it from Chinglish to English.
Where and how have you changed the language files YangLinXuan? Because I'd be interested in doing that as wel :)
can we just rename the (a320-1.03TD-3.hxf) to (A320.hxf) to install this update?
if this working,is realy easy and cool! someone test this guys?
I used this great tool by so9: http://a320.freeforums.org/hxf-tool-beta-t291.html
It also allows you to change the boot screen and a few other settings.
thanks for info YangLinXuan ;)
@Anemos
Yes, it's really that easy. Just copy the renamed hxf file to the root of your device, disconnect it, turn it off, hold "down" on the d-pad while turning it on again, and the Dingoo will install the new firmware.
Putting the firmware in the dingoo root is one way of flashing the dingoo. However, since the last version of the firmware ( and the CFW ) is 1.03, you will only be able to do this once for the same firmware. It will not flash a new 1.03 firmware is you already have a 1.03 firmware present ( this will be detected as the same firmware ). In that case you need to use the flashtool.

I wonder if this can be used to save bricked Dingoos, though only if they know that they'll brick it beforehand.
