FINALLY! omg Alekmaul is the best. Now if I can just get 2600, all my bases are belong to me.

Is anyone having luck with this. I have only been able to load bionic commando and black tiger. Anyone have luck with xmen arcade. Every other game I load gets a black screen.
I've loaded quite a few successfully including Bionic Commando, Legendary Wings, Ghosts'n'Goblins, Galaxian, Pac Man Plus, Asteroids, Contra -- and above all else: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Keep in mind this is only a test version that he says it only supports 600 ROMs for now, so I suppose that might be part of your issue. There's also a likelihood you may have older, incompatible ROM sets -- be sure to get the ones made for MAME 0.37b5 (July 2000).
I just checked the list of supported games and X-Men is listed, so it should work.

If I were you, I'd get all three of those sets in case they have interdependent assets.
What I'd like to know is if anyone else is having trouble configuring the buttons. I'm used to configuring PC versions of MAME, but on this build, it just sits there and doesn't react after I press the button I want to associate with an action. Several more button presses are required before anything happens, and it ends up associating a long series of really random input for the selection.
I've got about 16 games going... mostly retro stuff like Asteroids, Jungle King, Pleides, Contra, et al. Note that Alekmaul is building .app files in sets -- Capcom, Konami, Classic, Vector, etc. There are more to come... just keep an eye out for updates. I know he's either working on or has just finished Data East, so there's more MAME-y goodness on the way.
I'm excited about this. It seems to load fine on my HK Dingoo but when I get to the "type ok" part after I select the game rom the left, right buttons aren't working for me. I'm just stuck there...waiting to play zaxxon on my dingoo 
How do you type ok if not left, right? Any suggestions?
Are you trying to press the L and R shoulder buttons? That's not it, press left and then right on the control pad.
Beautiful! Thank you! I did try that first and perhaps just didn't hit the right all the way down, then I thought they meant the shoulders but I tried the dpad again and there it is! 
Since you seem familar with it, how do I pause a game and drop into the menu to adjust sound and other parameters? Thanks again!

To pause, hold Select and press Y. I recommend doing this only when there's no sound or music playing, since in my experience, it generates an annoying buzz otherwise.
To open the configuration menu, hold Select and press B. Be warned, like I posted above, I'm having trouble setting buttons.
Functions like volume, brightness and gamma can be easily changed by holding Select and pressing X to show an adjustment bar near the bottom of the screen. Left and Right adjust levels, Up and Down choose other properties to adjust.
And they said it couldn't be done.
