My modified version of official 1.20 firmware, includes the following: * Based on official 1.20 firmware (Y/B bug fixed!) * Supports custom themes (system folder visible) * Default language set to english * Megadrive emulator fixed to use the quick double buffer technique * Added NeoGeo Pocket emulator * Added Game Boy Color (GBC) emulator * Overclock apps included (select from 200Mhz to 430Mhz) * Nice boot & logoff screens * Fixed typos in english translation * Default brightness set to 3 * Auto Poweroff set to 1 hour == INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS == 1. Copy all the contents into the root dir of your dingoo internal UDisk. 2. Switch off your dingoo 3. Press and hold DOWN in the D-PAD 4. Switch on your dingoo, firmware will update. Wait 5 minutes. 5. Reboot your dingoo == DISCLAIMER == I take no responsibility for any conflict, fault, or damage caused to your Dingoo by flashing this unofficial firmware. Full caution is advise, do not flash if you don't know what you're doing. Tested on 3 Dingoos and worked fine on all them.

 So i updated it a320, cannot play gba games. freezes with loading screen. i see that others are having same issue but i am wondering if a solution was ever found?

Basically in the update there isn't a proper gba.cfg file.  All you have to do is ensure your gba.cfg file from your backup is located in the same file as the gba.sim file, and you should be good to go.

 Just make sure the .cfg and .sim files are in the same GAME folder.  It was a typo.  You might be able to find an old .cfg in an older version of the firewire.

Problem with emulators

After flashing this to my dingoo my emulators stopped working and now I can't play anything else but native games. Also the overclocking tools won't do anything and the theme is same as before flashing but the system information says "Version V1.2-pof" and startup and logoff screens have changed. I just can't open any games because there's no games, I copied the games to dingoo after flashing

Brand New Dingoo

I just got my Dingoo yesterday and the first thing I did was throw this firmware on it to get the OC ability and hopefully make some roms (like Tetris Attack) run smoother. Unfortunately, I can't seem to activate any of the OC options. I go to Native Apps, then scroll to Overclock and whenever I choose ANY of the options available, it just freezes my system and I have to do a hard reboot to use it again. Any help?

I'm bricked now too.  I tried installing this last night and now I'm stuck.  I get the white w/multicolored stripes screen.  I've tried the Unbricker tool with no success.

Last night I tried another unbricker and actually got the globe with the message, "Firmware Upgrade...", but after leaving it plugged in for two hours, still nothing.  The program showed it was still flashing.

Is there anyone that can help?  What if I send you my Dingoo, can someone unbrick it for me?

When I go into native apps, overclock, and I select a CPU speed, my dingoo just freezes.  Otherwise, the firmware update went smoothly.  Did I do something wrong? 

 

I have to use the hardware reset button to get back to the home screen when it freezes.

 I received my Dingoo today and I am very impressed with it. I read here that so many have issues with the CFW and makes wonder if it is worth it. It looks like it would be. I have installed all of the emulators that run natively and put all the roms I want on it and it is AWESOME,,, just tinkering with the idea of CFW. Would like to hear from more on the good things it has done for them and the ease of the install.

Hey guys I'm trying to play the Pokemon Trading Card Game rom on my Dingoo with this new firmware.  I've renamed it to .gbc to no avail.  Game Boy Color games like Pokemon Gold work, but games like pokemon trading card game and pokemon blue and red don't work.

Just rename your old .gb files to .gbc and they will work fine in the emulator. Just as the original gbc supported gb games, so does the emulator; however, the dingoo doesn't know which emulator to load up if the files don't have a .gbc extention.

Having trouble

 I installed to  the point that the progress bar was full, then  a320  Dingoo planet screen was displayed, and that's where it stopped. I had to  pin it to  reset, and it appears bricked now. Does it need to  stay on the world screen for a very long time after bar is filled?Am i missing a step?
